These Were the Good Old Days

30 Jun

I have no idea where the time went, but here we are at the mid-point of 2023 already.

The fact that these six months seemed to go by so quickly is, I guess, a testament to how much fun they were, overall. There were concerts and shows, lots of movies (36 as of this writing), three trips to Florida (not always fun, admittedly), a good birthday, lots of great TV, meetups with friends, my niece and nephews’ first visit to Boston in three years, and plenty more.

Looking back on this time, I’m particularly proud of the fact that this blog has become a much more active site again than it was, with movie reviews and other posts going up regularly. I’ve been sharing them across social media, on Twitter and Instagram (Stories), and that’s helping the engagement. Yes, that means I’m still (actively) using Twitter despite an overall drop in engagement there and many indications that I should be devoting my social-media time elsewhere. Oh well. Some habits are hard to break.

But anyway, since it’s been such a busy first half of the year, I’ve put together a quick video to celebrate some of the highlights. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the good times, whether you’re in the video or not. And thank you to The Revivalists for providing the soundtrack.

Enjoy!
